Mother and son lunch to celebrate his 18 th birthday.  The experience was lovely, the staff were lovely .

Once we found Le Cafe, which is tucked away inside a hotel, we thought it was quite a find. Away from crowds and noise and plenty of seating. The waiting staff were helpful but sadly, my cheese and caramelised shallot toasted sandwich was cold and the toast was quite hard. It&#39;s a useful venue to meet in the Reading area and I would probably choose something else next time although the vegetarian options weren&#39;t extensive. Nice staff, shame about the cold food.

I come in here frequently and I am astounded at the language from "the lads" that stand at the bar.  Absolutely no consideration for other customers, the loudness and the swear words and I mean SWEAR ...

A lovely, friendly local pub. With good food and good beers. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. It has a beer garden and seats on the front of the pub.
